Bee Splendid Month 1

Jacob's Ladder + scrap square

This month, the Bee Splendid group is sewing up Jacob's Ladder blocks for Sarah. She sent us a bag full of bright, fun scraps. I added a couple of my own scraps in there, at her request. Hopefully, they don't stick out too much.

The blocks went together really quickly, and they would be great for stash-busting or charm squares.

Speaking of charm squares, Karrie, our beekeeper, was so enamored with this pattern that she decided to form a charm square quilt along, using this block as the basis. She even managed to secure a coupon code valid until the end of the month for Crafty Girls Workshop, which already has some pretty flippin' sweet prices. I tell myself I have plenty of charm scraps in my bin (it's practically overflowing), but the lure of a good deal might just be too much.

  2. Megan, I love the blocks! And I don't know how they could stick out - considering how I picked the scraps to send! "Is this piece big enough? oops, not quite - move on to the next one...." It is going to be a very scrappy quilt and I will quite enjoy picking out the scraps that were added by each of you as well as remembering the things I made with the pieces I provided!
